Naomi Westwater's Whimsical and Witchy Remix: Dropping on Halloween

Westwater's music is striking, eclectic, beautiful, and unlike what you may have heard before. The Boston-based singer-songwriter's got a new single coming our way just in time for Halloween titled "Fears (Güttinger Edit)" which is described as a "dark, pop remix of Naomi Westwater's original song."

The Güttinger remix has turned her track "Fears" into a spooky love song and elevated Naomi's witchy lyrics and haunting vocals for an electro-pop sensation (via Westwater). Her love for magic really shines through in this release; the remix highlights her light, soprano vocals, while the layers of instrumentation show just how much thought and hard work went into producing this song.

Westwater's song is more than just your average pop song though: it's poignant and plays with themes of love, magic, and empowerment. The strings add a haunting and whimsical feel to the song, while the synth arpeggiation gives it an almost techno, pop feel. The lyricism in the upcoming release, as well as her past work, is written from the soul and reflects pieces of herself.

"Is the magic gone? Do I still turn you on? Has the smoke cleared? Have I released my fears?"

- "Fears" by Naomi Westwater

Be sure to listen to "Fears (Güttinger Edit)" on October 31st, 2019 by candlelight. The moon will be in a crescent phase by then, but pretend that it's a full moon to get the ultimate listening effect!

More about Naomi

The songstress is known for fusing pop, indie, hints of folk and rock all into one original and whimsical sound. Her previous release and debut album titled "Huntress: from dark to light" has been described as a "rose with many petals, [her] music is layered, striking and tender."

The tracks from "Huntress: from dark to light" display her mastery of writing. The sounds produced are powerful yet warm: her music feels like warm sunlight through autumn leaves, with the impending chill of winter lingering in the air.
